As part of our mandate to lead the transformation of the Canterbury economy, CDC is proactively networking the originators of new ideas with entrepreneurs and investors, and Fast-Tracking high growth companies in our targeted sectors. We’re making sure our economy has a succession plan.
The Canterbury economy is based more on intellectual assets than traditional resource-based assets, and innovation is critical to retaining and attracting firms, re-invigorating traditional companies, converting intellectual property into products and services, developing and expanding new markets and thereby creating wealth in the economy.
More than 300 infrastructure initiatives identified
A Canterbury Development Corporation report on private and public infrastructure projects has identified more than 300 initiatives together worth millions of dollars planned for the next three years.
