Going Green - Environmental Marketing Makes Sense   Expired

Date: Tuesday, 23 March 2010
Venue: CDC Training Room, Level 2, 193 Cashel Street
Time: 09:00 — 12:00
Presenter: Kaila Colbin

Price: Fully Funded

It ain't just for hippies anymore! Environmental awareness and action has a direct impact on business profits, with some of the world's most exciting organisations proving you can be environmentally responsible and make money. In fact, a commitment to the environment is increasingly becoming a non-negotiable factor in consumer and business decision making.
This workshop is designed to highlight the actions that your business can take to improve your environmental credentials while increasing profitability. Learn about real examples of local and off-shore businesses making environmental issues a cornerstone of their business model.
If your business is exporting or considering exporting, you cannot afford not to attend this workshop!

About the presenter:
Technology entrepreneur and social commentator Kaila Colbin is the founder of Missing Link: social media marketing for do-gooders. She has built her business to make the world a better place, not only by how it operates but also by whom it chooses to work with. In July 2009, Kaila trained with Al Gore and The Climate Project, becoming one of 17 Kiwis who deliver the Inconvenient Truth presentations domestically. She holds the Professional Project Manager qualification, has a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and currently serves as Director of Communications on the National Board of PMINZ – and brings all of this real-world business focus to the question of how tackling climate change can improve your business’ bottom-line.

Testimonal:
“Kaila provided one of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had—and I’ve had a fair few. She had the perfect combination of expertise and engaging quirkiness. It was a great course.” Teresa Wooding, gen-i
